Whirlwind...

So the last few weeks have been quite the whirlwind...since the last time I checked in, I had the opportunity to go snowboarding for the first time ever! It was a GREAT experience - and WHOA, what a workout! I did NOT expect it to be that difficult - but it was tough. After a LOT of bumps and bruises, and thanks to Sabrina (an excellent teacher), I actually started to get the hang of it. Unfortunately, wedding planning is going to prevent us from going any more this year - but next year, I plan on dedicating a LOT of time to my newfound hobby!

Sabrina also had her bridal shower - which was a blast. She totally knew (for various reasons), but it's no big deal. She was a beautiful bride to be, and seeing the pictures and how happy she was (since I was kicked out and didn't get to see it for myself!!) made all the effort and planning worthwhile. That night her dad surprised her in Philly (I knew about it of course) and we all went out to dinner! A great time and special weekend that Sabrina deserved!!

Soooo, tomorrow is the beginning of my bachelor party weekend. We are going to New Orleans (26 of us) - should be a great time. I desperately need a few days away from work. Things have been rocky this year - a little stressful as my role changes from lower level to more responsibility and manager of others. I'm definitely not perfect at it, but I am trying to learn and adjust as things change. Trying and effort are never the issue - so I think as long as I keep working hard, things will get better. Adding in the pressures of wedding planning, long distance relationship, general life stresses - and yeah, I'm kind of beat. But everyone has these stresses, and many have things much worse going on - so I can't complain. All in all, I'm an extremely lucky guy.

So now it's time pack - rest up, wake up, go for a run, and finish up the work week!
